How Did I Not Know About This!?!?

Did you guys know about THIS ???

Somehow it flew entirely under my radar all this time!  I don't know if it will be a day one purchase (even at the nice price of $29.99) but it will be a purchase for sure!  Just this past summer, during our pilgrimage to Funspot Arcade, I played Dragon's Lair and Space Ace for the first time.  I ... stunk.  But the games visual appeal is truly timeless in my opinion and I can't wait to take a stab at these games without having to fork over another quarter each time I inevitably make a poor choice!

Yeah I read about it I think a week ago.

I only played the first Dragons Lair.I did decently. I only got to try it out once. Had no idea on there being a second Dragon's Lair. I never played Space Ace.

Classic stuff. Admittedly, I haven't played these games yet myself, but I should check out the collection sometime.

Sid Meier's Pirates! got a Wii port that just hit this week too, and I had no idea it was coming until the other day. Got a pretty good score in Nintendo Power too, so it could be legitimately worthwhile.

I mentioned it a few weeks back on the old forums in a thread about upcoming games we're planning to get. I guess nobody saw :(

But yeah, I'll be there day 1. Those games and Don Bluth animation in general where smack dab in the middle of my childhood. I grew up on stuff like All Dogs Go to Heaven, Land Before Time, American Tail etc. So owning these games just to be able to watch them in the theater mode is worth the price of admission, let alone playing such an important piece of gaming history from the comfort of my living room couch.

Now, I'm curious, if you watch in Theatre mode, I assume that will show ONE path through the game. But I thought there were multiple paths to victory depending on what you chose? Am I mistaken?

Yeah, I knew and I am waiting for the release.

for all the people who are kinda new to the series or games like this,

Dragons Lair II is the best of the breed

missed your question.

Dragons lair,

its a series of puzzles that are stacked in an almost random order. The movie mode will simply put it in order for your viewing.

If you want a more core experience, hit up the 2nd game.

last post for now,

These game could be considered in my opinion the gameplay where you are seeing starting to emerge in games like

Star Wars Force Unleashed, god of war, metroid other m, ect...
